Happy Holidays Tucson Tri Girls!
I hope you are all busy enjoying the off season and setting goals for 2015! I have exciting news I hope will help you meet those goals! First, thanks to the hard work of member Chrissy Nelson & treasurer Alisa Neave, the Tucson Tri Girls were awarded a USAT grant to use for promotional materials and to further our mission of education! The board decided to use part of the grant to start a Lending Library! It’s a small start, but TTG now has a collection of training guides available for members to borrow. To borrow a book, go to the Lending Library link in the Members Only section of the TTG website. Select a title, and if it is available, I will bring it to the next meeting. Please return the book at the following meeting. If you have a book you would like to donate to our library please email me at TucsonTriGirls@gmail.com.
The second bit of news is… TTG Tri Camp is BACK! Mark it down on your calendars for February 13th, 14th & 15th! This is going to be a fun weekend! Friday evening we will kick off Tri Camp with a social meeting at TEPC with wine and hors d’oeurves. USAT Level 3 Coach Brain Grasky will review the weekend plan and expectations. This will be followed by a run biomechanics clinic. Saturday and Sunday will be filled with coached skills clinics, group rides, brick runs and lots of time honing our skills in the pool. This will be a great way to start the 2015 TTG Tri Season! The registration page is available in the Activities menu above.
I can’t wait to start logging the training miles and sharing laughs with you all in the coming year! See you at the January 12th meeting at TriSports! Pro Triathletes Lisa Roberts and Christine Jeffrey will be our guest speakers! I am looking forward to hearing about their training and racing experiences!
Happy New Year!
